Ascension Parish:
- Clayton James, 44258 George St. Sorrento, LA, age 38, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts) and was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
- Jody Gautreau, 37210 Miller St. Prairieville, LA, age 54, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 12 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 12 months supervised probation.
The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Charles “Chuck” Long, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge John Smith.
- Delynn Ricks, 909 S Abe Ave. Gonzales, LA, age 31, pled guilty to Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 1-year supervised probation.
The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Phil Maples, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Cody Martin.
Assumption Parish:
- Travis Skeen, 606 Aristile Rd. Morgan City, LA, age 36, pled guilty to Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Number or Mark, Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling, Distribution of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Distribution of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The defendant is to serve 3 years of the said sentence, and the remaining 7 years are to be suspended. Upon release from incarceration, the defendant is to be placed on 5 years supervised probation.

- Gregory Washington Jr., 106 Myles St. Paincourtville, LA, age 24, pled guilty to Attempted Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. It was ordered that 1 year of the said sentence is to be served, and the remaining 4 years are to be suspended. Upon release from incarceration, the defendant is to be placed on 3 years supervised probation.
- Tysie Dabney, 3600 Kaliste Saloon Rd. Lafayette, LA, age 46, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts) and was sentenced to 3 ½ years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
- James Cox Jr., 110 Jamie Ct. Morgan City, LA, age 40, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.

St. James Parish:
- On June 26, 2025, a St. James Parish jury found 36-year-old Carlos Washington of 6250 Convent Station Lane Convent, LA. guilty as charged of 2nd Degree Murder, Attempted 2nd Degree Murder, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and 2nd Degree Cruelty to a Juvenile. Sentencing is tentatively set for August 25, 2025.
