Gonzales Man Sentenced to 25 Years in Connection with Plea to Charges of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile

          On November 18, 2025, Timothy Callender of 41125 Hwy 621 Gonzales, LA, age 59, pled guilty to Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile and Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile, Victim Under the Age of 13. Callender was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Robin O’Bannon and Adam Koenig. Presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Keyojuan Turner. 

         On August 7, 2022, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Detectives were notified of a juvenile female victim who had been inappropriately touched by Timothy Callender. Upon interviewing the juvenile victim and witnesses, detectives learned that Timothy Callender engaged in lewd and lascivious conduct with the juvenile on multiple occasions. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Callender who was arrested and booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.  

          Upon entering a guilty plea to the above-mentioned charges, sentencing was deferred to a later date pending a Pre-Sentence Investigation. 

          On February 18, 2026, Timothy Callender was sentenced to 25 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
