Ascension Parish:

1. Roberto Escobar, 10732 S Mall Dr. Baton Rouge, LA, age 42, pled guilty to Felony Issuing Worthless Checks and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation. 

The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Christopher Carter, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Cody Martin. 

2. Denzell Glover, 37313 Hwy 74 Geismar, LA, age 28, pled guilty to Cruelty to Juveniles and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 

3. Dequincy Louis, 8716 Pecan St. Saint James, LA, age 23, pled guilty to Illegal Possession of Stolen Goods Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000. The defendant was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, deferred, and placed on 18 months supervised probation. 

4. Patrick MsChesney, 10037 Hwy 22 Saint Amant, LA, age 40, pled guilty to Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 

5. Michael Merrill, 6425 Jules Brown St. Violet, LA, age 65, pled guilty to Organized Retail Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 

6. Jade Singleton, 157 D’ville Village Circle Donaldsonville, LA, age 38, pled guilty to Exploitation of the Infirmed and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, deferred, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 

7. Noah Smith, 18237 Sharon Dr. Ponchatoula, LA, age 20, pled guilty to Theft of a Motor Vehicle and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, deferred, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 

8. Albert Melancon III, 17095 Hwy 44 Prairieville, LA, age 63, pled guilty to Simple Criminal Damage to Property Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000 and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, deferred, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 

9. Deontre Powe, 3230 Wire Lane Donaldsonville, LA, age 26, pled guilty to 2^nd Degree Battery and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 

10. Ryan Malain, 11182 River Highlands Dr. Saint Amant, LA, age 37, pled guilty to Attempted Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

Assumption Parish: 

1. On October 14, 2025, Autumn Picou of 264 Smoky Ct. Bourg, LA, age 40, pled guilty to Distribution, Manufacture, or Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. Sentencing was deferred to a later date pending a Pre-Sentence Investigation. This week, the defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 

2. Marquis Watkins, 3301 West Esplanade Ave. Metairie, LA, age 30, pled guilty to Identity Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, Theft Over $25,000, Forgery, Bank Fraud, and Computer Fraud. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 

3. John Henry, 120 Pond Dr. Morgan City, LA, age 46, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 1-year supervised probation. 

4. Kristie Bourg, 3934 Hwy 1 Napoleonville, LA, age 49, pled guilty to DWI 1^st Offense, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Attempted Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation. 

5. Daniel Pourciau, 1923 Hermadel Dr. Baton Rouge, LA, age 39, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 

6. Dave Alexander Sr., 146 Hwy 998 Belle Rose, LA, age 62, pled guilty to Introducing or Possessing Contraband in any Municipal or Parish Prison or Jail. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 

7. Jared Rivere, 114 N Curtis St. Pierre Part, LA, age 39, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation. 

8. Jerry Wiggins, 227 Hwy 1003 Belle Rose, LA, age 21, pled guilty to Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile (2 counts) and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. The defendant must register and notify as a sex offender for a period of 15 years. 

9. Eddie Ned, 32850 Lee St. White Castle, LA, age 25, pled guilty to Aggravated Flight from an Officer, Driving Under Suspension, and Speeding. Sentencing was deferred to a later date pending a Pre-Sentence Investigation. 

10. Joseph Gilchrist Sr., Bayou L’Ourse, LA, age 55, pled guilty to Manslaughter. Sentencing was deferred to a later date pending a Pre-Sentence Investigation.
