On Monday, Dean Hue Jr. of 3112 S Hwy 1 Donaldsonville, LA, age 27, pled guilty to Distribution, Manufacture, or Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. Hue was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Cody Martin. This guilty plea was the result of a plea agreement with prosecutors in connection with a 2025 traffic stop.
On September 14, 2025, an Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing a traffic violation. Upon coming into contact with the occupants of the vehicle, deputies developed cause to remove the occupants for further investigation. During a pat down search of one of the occupants, Dean Hue Jr, a significant quantity of methamphetamine was located on his person. Hue was arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center.
Upon entering a guilty plea to the above-mentioned charge, pursuant to the plea agreement with prosecutors, Dean Hue Jr. was sentenced to 7 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
