Pierre Part Man Pleads Guilty to Multiple Juvenile Sex Crimes

On Tuesday, Cody Landry of 125 B Reno St. Pierre Part, LA, age 35, pled guilty to Third Degree Rape, Molestation of a Juvenile, Sexual Battery, and Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile. Landry was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Adam Koenig and Lana Chaney. Presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Keyojuan Turner. This guilty plea was the result of a plea agreement with prosecutors in connection with two separate sexual assault investigations.

On July 2, 2020, Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Deputies received a complaint regarding the sexual assault of a juvenile female. Detectives initiated and investigation and obtained evidence supporting that between April and July of 2020, the juvenile female was in fact assaulted by Landry on multiple occasions. Detectives secured an arrest warrant for Landry who was booked into the Assumption Parish Jail.

In April of 2022, detectives secured an arrest warrant for additional charges in connection with another incident with the same juvenile victim during the same time frame.

In December of 2025, while out on bond, detectives received information about the possible sexual assault of a second juvenile victim. An investigation was conducted, and detectives developed probable cause to charge Cody Landry in connection with the sexual assault of this victim.

Upon entering a guilty plea, pursuant to the plea agreement with prosecutors, Cody Landry was sentenced as follows:

On the charge of Third-Degree Rape, Landry was sentenced to 17 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

On the charge of Molestation of a Juvenile, Landry was sentenced to 17 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

On the chare of Sexual Battery, Landry was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

On the charge of Felony Carnal Knowledge of a Juvenile, Landry was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

All of the said sentences are to run concurrent with one another and are to be served without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. Upon release from incarceration, Landry must register and notify as a sex offender or child predator for life.
