On Wednesday, an Assumption Parish Grand Jury returned True Bills of Indictment on 29-year-old Gage Gros of 5882 Hwy 1 Paincourtville for counts of First-Degree Rape and Second-Degree Rape. This indictment stems from two separate arrests by the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office following a multi-state investigation. 

       During the course of an extensive investigation, Detectives obtained evidence corroborating allegations that between July of 2022 and July of 2025, Gage Gros committed the rape of a juvenile female under the age of 12. 

        Further investigation led Detectives to obtain probable cause to charge Gros in connection with sexual abuse of a second child under the age of 16. 

           Gage Gros remains incarcerated at the Assumption Parish Detention Center pending further court proceedings.
