On August 11, 2025, Brent Louque of 2159 Levy Gaudet St. Paulina, LA, age 45, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts), Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Illegal Possession of Weapons – CDS. Louque was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Adam Koenig, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Steven Tureau. This guilty plea stems from a 2024 narcotics investigation in St. James Parish.
On December 19, 2024, deputies with the St. James Parish Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Division executed a search warrant at a Paulina residence during the course of an on-going narcotics investigation. During the execution of the search warrant, detectives located the target of the investigation, Brent Louque, along with several other individuals inside the residence. During a search of the residence in question which Louque resided, detectives located firearms, items commonly associated with the packaging and sale of illegal narcotics, U.S. Currency, and quantities of illegal narcotics including Marijuana, Methamphetamine, and Mushrooms. During a criminal records check, it was determined that Louque was a convicted felon. Louque was arrested and transported to the St. James Parish Jail where he was booked accordingly.
Upon entering a guilty plea to the above-mentioned charges, sentencing was deferred to a later date pending a Pre-Sentence Investigation.
On January 12, 2026, Brent Louque was sentenced to 8 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served on each count. All sentences are to run concurrent with one another.
