On last week, Zachary Hendricks of 41060 Merritt Evans Rd. Prairieville, LA, age 31, pled guilty to 2nd Degree Battery (3 counts). Hendricks was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Brant Mayer, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Cody Martin. This guilty plea was the result of a plea agreement with prosecutors following a 2021 sexual assault investigation.
On December 1, 2021, Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Detectives responded to a Darrow residence in reference to a sexual assault complaint. Detectives interviewed the victim who advised that she had been raped by a male subject who she knew to be Zachary Hendricks. During the course of an extensive investigation, detectives obtained a warrant of arrest for Hendricks, who was ultimately arrested and booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
Upon entering a guilty plea to the above-mentioned charges, pursuant to the plea agreement with prosecutors, Zachary Hendricks was sentenced to 22 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
