Last week, Conrad Rousseau of 14137 Mire Rd. Gonzales, LA, age 52, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance (3 counts) and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts). Rousseau was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Charles “Chuck” Long, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge John Smith. This guilty plea was the result of a plea agreement with prosecutors in connection with a 2025 narcotics investigation.
On February 7, 2025, narcotics agents with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 14137 Mire Rd. as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation. During a search of a camper trailer on the property where Conrad Rousseau was asleep, agents located quantities of methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana, along with various materials associated with the packaging and sale of illegal narcotics. Rousseau was transported to the Ascension Parish Jail where he was booked accordingly.
Upon entering a guilty plea to the above-mentioned charges, pursuant to the plea agreement with prosecutors, Rousseau was sentenced to 20 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
