SERVING ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION & ST. JAMES PARISHES

During the week of June 9 – June 13, 2025, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

Ascension Parish: 

  1. Conrad Rousseau, 14137 Mire Rd. Gonzales, LA, age 52, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance (3 counts) and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts). The defendant was sentenced to 20 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. William Ficklin, 19755 Feraci Rd. Livingston, LA, age 35, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 24 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation. 
  1. Terry Brown, 13288 Ruse Mason Blvd. Gonzales, LA, age 33, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts) and Possession of Fentanyl. The defendant was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Patrick Goodman, Hodgeson Rd. Prairieville, LA, age 43, pled guilty to Possession of Heroin and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.   
  1. Jonathan Butler, 2281 Acosta Rd. Donaldsonville, LA, age 39, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation. 
  1. Rae Lyn Jacks, 41036 Marchand Rd. Gonzales, LA, age 29, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Possession of a Schedule V Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Chrisopher Woods, 48024 Rogers A Rd. St. Amant, LA, age 48, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 1 year in the parish jail with credit for time served. 
  1. Maliyah Williams, 14222 Troy Duplessis Rd. Gonzales, LA, age 21, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 36 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation. 
  1. Lindsey Buell Alexander, 5124 Bluebonnet Rd. Baton Rouge, LA, age 47, pled guilty to Forgery and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. It was ordered that 2 years of the said sentence are to be served, and the remaining 3 years are to be suspended. Upon release from incarceration, the defendant is to be placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Laura Pittman, 15182 Daigle Rd. Prairieville, LA, age 57, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $5,000 or More, but Less than $25,000, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Possession or Introduction of Contraband into a Correctional Institution. The defendant was sentenced to 36 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation. 
  1. Nicholas Babin, 12415 Camilia Rd. St. Amant, LA, age 44, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Charles “Chuck” Long, Robin O’Bannon, and Kenneth Dupaty. Presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge John Smith. 

Assumption Parish: 

  1. Jamari Maddox, 107 Judith St. Houma, LA, age 19, pled guilty to Aggravated Flight from an Officer and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Jedarrius Brown, 651 Molbort Lane Breaux Bridge, LA, age 20, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $5,000 or More, but Less than $25,000 and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Bryan Johnson, 136 Hwy 403 Napoleonville, LA, age 42, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

St. James Parish: 

  1. Tajuan Lemar, 1161 Old Vacherie St. Vacherie, LA, age 51, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts) and was sentenced to 20 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The said sentence is to be served without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. 
  1. Monique Morris, 322 E 13th Gramercy, LA, age 27, pled guilty to Forgery and Computer Fraud. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Ken Bardell, 183 S Church St. Garyville, LA, age 44, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. James Remedies, 8334 Annie Oak Dr. Sorrento, LA, age 39, pled guilty to DWI 3rd Offense and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
