SERVING ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION & ST. JAMES PARISHES

During the week of December 5-December 9, 2016, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

Ascension Parish:

1. Neo Morris, 324 Ida St. Gonzales, LA., age 33, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Morris was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

2. Acelon Dalferes, New Orleans, LA., age 30, pled guilty to Illegal Possession of Stolen Things, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Theft under $500. Dalferes was sentenced to 36 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for times served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation.

3. Jessie James, 12198 W Main St. Gonzales, LA., age 39, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Issuing Worthless Checks. James was sentenced to 36 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation.

4. Patricia Otoole, 13202 Lambert Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 27, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Otoole was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 4 years supervised probation.
5. Ramond Marillon, 12566 Brogdon Ln. Baton Rouge, LA., age 35, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 4 years supervised probation.

6. Phyliss Morris, 325 Ida Ave. Gonzales, LA., age 51, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts) and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. Morris was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 4 years supervised probation.

7. Dwain Washington, 11198 Stevenson Rd. Geismar, LA., age 51, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Marijuana. Washington was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

8. James Reine Jr., 8391 St. Amant St. Sorrento, LA., age 44, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Charles “Chuck” Long and Lindsey Manda. Presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Tess Stromberg.

Assumption Parish:

1. Robert Patterson, 139 Violet St. Labadieville, LA., age 31, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

2. Shannon Thomas, 324 California St. Thibodaux, LA., age 21, pled guilty to Simple Burglary and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

3. Damion Dorsey, 221 Grisaffe Ln. Belle Rose, LA., age 38, pled guilty to DWI 3rd Offense and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. It was ordered that 1 year of the imposed sentence is to be served without the benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.

4. Chance Johnson, 508 Canal St. Napoleonville, LA., age 37, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Jessie LeBlanc.

5. Garrett Cedotal, 1903 Hwy 70 Pierre Part, LA., age 28, pled guilty to Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.

6. Shane McGalliard, 506 Bonnie Ln. Donaldsonville, LA., age 37, pled guilty to DWI 3rd Offense and was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 4 years supervised probation.

7. Heath Aucoin, 313 St. Mary St. Napoleonville, LA., age 35, pled guilty to Obscenity and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

8. Fermin Tullier, 19342 Palmer Rd. Livingston, LA., age 53, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.
9. Jordan Dinino, 218 W 3rd St. Donaldsonville, LA., age 26, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
