SERVING ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION & ST. JAMES PARISHES

During the week of July 7 – July 11, 2025, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James

Ascension Parish: 

  1. Eric Fowler, 39096 Prairie North Dr. Prairieville, LA, age 41, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts) and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  1. Chancellor Williams, 53525 Stone St. White Castle, LA, age 22, pled guilty to Introducing Contraband Into or Upon Grounds of any State Correctional Institution and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Heather Sanchez, 20301 Palmer Rd. Livingston, LA, age 39, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Dwayne Rodrigue, 402 Bunn St. Donaldsonville, LA, age 49, pled guilty to Distribution, Manufacture, or Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Jessica McDaniel, age 39, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Marijuana, Expired Vehicle License, and Operating a Vehicle without Proof of Insurance. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  1. Charles Kirkey, age 36, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Marijuana. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  1. Brooklyn Wiley, age 28, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Violation of Protective Orders, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  1. Micah Chifici, 6632 Blue Rose Dr. Baton Rouge, LA, age 44, pled guilty to Possession of Heroin and Aggravated Obstruction of a Highway Commerce. The defendant was sentenced to 72 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation. 
  1. Jasmine Hilliard, 38282 Josh Brown Rd. Gonzales, LA, age 25, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 24 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation. 
  1. Misty Lambert, 12424 Beco Rd. Saint Amant, LA, age 52, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 36 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation. 

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Charles “Chuck” Long, Robin O’Bannon, and Kenneth Dupaty. Presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge John Smith. 

Assumption Parish: 

  1. Valerie Soto, 121 LA 663 Morgan City, LA, age 41, pled guilty to Illegal Use/Possession/Control of Weapons-Crime of Violence or Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation. 
  1. Keon Carbin, 169 Parro Lane Berwick, LA, age 21, pled guilty to Simple Burglary and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Julian Earl, 8370 S St. Landry Ave. Gonzales, LA, age 22, pled guilty to Simple Burglary and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Adam Walker, 125 Coleman St. Napoleonville, LA, age 41, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Steven Tureau.

St. James Parish: 

  1. Jaheim Stewart, 2183 LA 18 Vacherie, LA, age 23, pled guilty to 2nd Degree Battery and Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles. The defendant was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 

The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Bruce Mohon, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Keyojuan Turner.
