SERVING ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION & ST. JAMES PARISHES

During the week of October 7 – October 11, 2024, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

Ascension Parish: 

  1. Henry Delmore, 2824 S Burnside Ave Gonzales, LA, age 40, pled guilty to Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon (2 counts), Conspiracy to Commit Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance, Conspiracy to Commit Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession or Introduction of Contraband in a Penal Institution, Illegal Possession of Stolen Firearms, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts), and Illegal Carry of Weapons/Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 9 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Edward Domangue, 175 West 95th Place Cut Off, LA age 41, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 18 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Bobby Mason, 205 W 2nd Donaldsonville, LA, age 43, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Matthew Thornton, 268172 South Satsuma Rd. Walker, LA, age 37, pled guilty to Possession of Heroin and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 24 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation. 
  1. Coty Bergeron, Breaux Bridge, LA, age 33, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 24 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 24 months supervised probation. 
  1. Dalvin Farrell, 4000 N Indigo Harvey, LA, age 24, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Marijuana, and DWI 1st The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Jessica Hall, 12288 David Lessard Rd. St. Amant, LA, age 39, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 24 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Howard Jackson, 41038 Villa Court South Gonzales, LA, age 39, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  1. Ontario Jones, 13118 Margie St. Gonzales, LA, age 33, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 36 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 24 months supervised probation. 
  1. Amanda Lambert, 41477 Smithhart Rd. Prairieville, LA, age 38, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Deirdre Meche, 42499 Hwy 42 Prairieville, LA, age 45, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  1. Walter Sanchez, 2538 West Hwy 30 Gonzales, LA, age 44, pled guilty to DWI 3rd Offense and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 36 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation. 

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Charles “Chuck” Long, Robin O’Bannon, and Kristin Tregre. Presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge John Smith. 

Assumption Parish: 

  1. Kendal Dollar, 284 Union Rd. 823 Strong, AR, age 39, pled guilty to Vehicular Homicide and 3rd Degree Feticide. The defendant was sentenced to 20 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Markez Millican, 325 Carney Rd. Baker, LA, age 25, pled guilty to Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Dewayne Holmes, 2101 Manhattan Blvd Harvey, LA, age 32, pled guilty to Aggravated Battery and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  1. Kevin Pintado, 104 St. Anne St. Pierre Part, LA, age 46, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.
  1. Derreil Alexander, 108 Kamey Rd. Houma, LA, age 45, pled guilty to Aggravated Flight from an Officer and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation. 

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Steven Tureau. 

St. James Parish: 

  1. Jolacia Rodrigue, 5213 Barras St. St. James, LA, age 39, pled guilty to 2nd Degree Battery and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 

The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Bruce Mohon, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Keyojuan Turner.
