During the week of September 8 – September 12, 2025, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

Ascension Parish: 

  1. Kyerra Albert, 1612 N Coontrap Rd. Gonzales, LA, age 33, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 24 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 24 months supervised probation.
  1. Michelle Day, 17492 Jodan Ln. Livingston, LA, age 49, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.
  1. Brad Gautreaux, 40038 William Ficklin Rd. Gonzales, LA, age 45, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Heroin. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  1. Cantrelle Green, 418 Bluebird St. Gonzales, LA, age 28, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 24 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 24 months supervised probation.
  1. Renaldo Green, 1219 S Sybil Ave Gonzales, LA, age 43, pled guilty to Distribution, Manufacture, or Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.                                                                                                                                              
  2. Matthew Morris, 2623 S Southwood Ave. Gonzales, LA, age 36, pled guilty to Monetary Instrument Abuse, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts). The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.
  1. Karzzerrick Murray, 11251 Devall Lane Baton Rouge, LA, age 29, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  1. Neo Morris, 1612 Coontrap Rd. Gonzales, LA, age 42, pled guilty to Distribution, Manufacture, or Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance, Distribution, Manufacture, or Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts), Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance, Creation or Operation of a Clandestine Laboratory, and Obstruction of Justice. The defendant was sentenced to 12 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  1. Lacey Oliver, 1025 N Coolidge Ave. Gonzales, LA, age 39, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Battery of a Police Officer While in Custody or While Detained. On the charge of Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, the defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. On the charge of Battery of a Police Office While in Custody or While Detained, the defendant was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Chad Roddy, 17295 J T Roddy Rd. Prairieville, LA, age 31, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Heroin, and Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Charles “Chuck” Long, Robin O’Bannon, and Kenneth Dupaty. Presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge John Smith. 

  1. Omarion Forcell, 705 Third St. Donaldsonville, LA, age 22, pled guilty to Non-Consensual Disclosure of a Private Image and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Trulena Guedry, 10301 Taylor Sheets Jr. Rd. St. Amant, LA, age 44, pled guilty to Aggravated Cruelty to Animals and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Kimberly Corio, 19014 Autumn View Dr. Geismar, LA, age 46, pled guilty to Simple Burglary and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Makiah Nailer, 314 Williams St. Donaldsonville, LA, age 20, pled guilty to Conspiracy to Commit Attempted 2nd Degree Murder and was sentenced to 8 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Jamil Joseph, 304 Opelousas St. Donaldsonville, LA, age 21, pled guilty to Attempted 2nd Degree Murder and was sentenced to 15 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Lance Jackson, 1019 Saint Vincent St. Donaldsonville, LA, age 36, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Roy Sellers, 5162 Salinger Dr. Darrow, LA, age 35, pled guilty to DWI 3rd Offense (2 counts) and Unlawful Refusal to Chemical Test. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. It was ordered that 2 years of the said sentence are to be served, and the remaining 3 years are to be suspended. Upon release from incarceration, the defendant is to be placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Bryon Cannon, 429 Monroe St. Gretna, LA, age 47, pled guilty to Illegal Possession of Stolen Things Valued at $25,000 or More and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Chad Babb, 24056 Brunnett Rd. Loranger, LA, age 52, pled guilty to Theft of a Motor Vehicle (2 counts) and was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Philip Prescott, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Jason Verdigets. 

Assumption Parish: 

  1. Bruce Knockum, 125 Jones St, Napoleonville, LA, age 63, pled guilty to Obstruction of Justice and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Rudy Bazare, 135 Moffett Ct. Morgan City, LA, age 55, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  1. Tiana Boudreaux, 899 Narrow Ridge Dr. Gonzales, LA, age 23, pled guilty to 2nd Degree Battery and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

St. James Parish: 

  1. Dylan Scott, 756 N Montz Ave Gramercy, LA, age 27, pled guilty to Aggravated Flight from an Officer and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 

The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Adam Koenig, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Steven Tureau.
