Four Plead Guilty in Connection with Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office Operation Fresh Catch

This week, four of fourteen defendants pled guilty to illegal drug distribution in connection with a lengthy narcotics investigation conducted by the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division. Operation Fresh Catch was a lengthy operation targeting street level drug dealers in Assumption Parish which resulted in all targets being indicted by an Assumption Parish Grand Jury. The following individuals pled guilty and were sentenced pursuant to plea agreements with prosecutors: 

  1. Kaitlyn Landry, 6716 Hwy 1 Belle Rose, LA, age 30, pled guilty to Distribution, Manufacture, or Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (Methamphetamine) and was sentenced to 9 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. John Westerfield, 30449 Castro Lane Donaldsonville, LA, age 33, pled guilty to Distribution, Manufacture, or Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance (Suboxone) and was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Seth Pujol, 2413 Lee Dr. Pierre Part, LA, age 35, pled guilty to Distribution, Manufacture, or Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance (Suboxone) and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Nicole Gros, 124 Mary Ann St. Pierre Part, LA, age 45, pled guilty to Distribution, Manufacture, or Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (Fentanyl) and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (Methamphetamine). The defendant was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
