On November 28, 2017, Wilbert Glover of 14496 Oak Meadow St. Gonzales, LA., age 53, pled guilty to Molestation of a Juvenile. Glover was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Kenneth Dupaty and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Alvin Turner Jr.
On December 30, 2014, deputies with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to Glover’s residence after receiving a report of a sexual assault. Upon arrival, deputies learned that Glover had committed sexual acts upon a 13-year-old girl. The juvenile victim was transported to an area hospital where a sexual assault examination was conducted. The exam yielded evidence supporting the allegations made. Glover was subsequently arrested and booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.
Upon entering a guilty plea to the above-mentioned charge, Judge Turner ordered that sentencing be deferred to a later date pending a Pre-Sentence Investigation. Glover faces up to 20 years in prison and will be required to register and notify as a sex offender or child predator.
