On September 24, 2014, St. James Parish Sheriff’s Deputies responded to an area near the intersection of Fifth St. and West Lebray St. Lutcher in reference to a shooting. Deputies learned that the shooter who was identified as Darnell Robertson was leaving the area in a red pick-up truck. Deputies quickly located and made contact with Robertson who was detained by deputies pending further investigation. Duhone was transported to an area hospital where he succumbed to injuries sustained from multiple gunshot wounds. Detectives obtained statements from multiple witnesses along with Robertson.
