Paincourtville Man Pleads Guilty to Cocaine Distribution

On February 11, 2019, Terrance McBride of 109 Pugh St. Paincourtville, LA., age 31, pled guilty to Distribution of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. McBride was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Lana Chaney, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Tess Stromberg. This guilty plea was the result of a plea agreement with prosecutors following a 2017 narcotics investigation targeting street level drug dealers in Assumption Parish.

In September of 2017, undercover agents under the direction of the Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division, purchased a quantity of crack cocaine from a male subject identified as Terrance McBride. Upon completion of the deal, the narcotics were submitted into evidence and agents obtained a warrant of arrest for McBride. McBride was subsequently arrested and booked into the Assumption Parish Detention Center.

Upon entering a guilty plea to the above-mentioned charge, as per the plea agreement with prosecutors, McBride was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
