Donaldsonville Man Sentenced on Weapons Charge

On December 2, 2015 Michael LeBlanc of Donaldsonville, LA., age 34, was found guilty by an Ascension Parish jury on the charge of Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. LeBlanc was previously convicted of Aggravated Battery (Felony) in 2003 in Orleans Parish. LeBlanc was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Shawn Bush, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Thomas Kliebert.

On May 25, 2016, Michael LeBlanc, was sentenced by Judge Kliebert to 18 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections at hard labor with credit for time served.

LeBlanc is also one of two defendants awaiting trial in connection with the 2014 shooting death of Adoriji Wilson in Donaldsonville.
