SERVING ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION & ST. JAMES PARISHES

During the week of April 24-April 28, 2017, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James

Ascension Parish:

1. Robert Grosse Jr., 41120 Merritt Evans Rd. Prairieville, LA., age 29, pled guilty to Felony Domestic Abuse Battery and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Phil Maples, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Thomas Kliebert.

Assumption Parish:

1. Suzette Breaux, 38259 Hwy 621 Gonzales, LA., age 47, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

2. Lenny Richard, 110 Cody Ln. Labadieville, LA., age 54, pled guilty to Simple Burglary and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

3. Samantha Kerr, 23125 General Gardner Ln. Zachary, LA., age 20, pled guilty to Simple Robbery and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Thomas Kliebert.

4. Donnie Daigle, 209 Jefferson St. Napoleonville, LA., age 26, pled guilty to Aggravated Flight From an Officer. Sentencing is tentatively set for August 30, 2017.

5. James Musco, 3025 Robin Ln. Donaldsonville, LA., age 37, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 ½ years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

6. Jarrod Sanchez, 410 Winder Rd. Thibodaux, LA., age 25, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. Sanchez was sentenced to 19 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served on each count. The imposed sentences are to run concurrent with one another.

7. Blaine Scully Jr., 122 Cypress St. Pierre Part, LA., age 24, pled guilty to Simple Burglary (2 counts) and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation on each count. The imposed sentences are to run concurrent with one another.

8. Chaz Rebardi, 411 9th St. Morgan City, LA., age 22, pled guilty to Aggravated Burglary and Home Invasion. Rebardi was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served on each count, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation. The imposed sentences are to run concurrent with one another.

9. Kirby Thomas, 117 Greenbriar St. Belle Rose, LA., age 38, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle, and Presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Jason Verdigets.
10.  Ronald Armond Sr., 248 Murial St. Morgan City, LA., age 44, pled guilty to Public Intimidation and Domestic Abuse Battery. On the charge of Public Intimidation, Armond was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, and on the charge of Domestic Abuse Battery, Armond was sentenced to 6 months in the parish jail with credit for time served. It was further ordered that the imposed sentences are to run concurrent with one another.

The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Lana Chaney, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Alvin Turner Jr.

St. James Parish:

1. Jermaine White, 8252 Hargis St. Convent, LA., age 30, pled guilty to Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile. Sentencing was deferred to July 3, 2017 pending a Pre-Sentence Investigation.

The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Bruce Mohon, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Alvin Turner Jr.

2. Donald Peck, 4340 Innisworld Rd. Baton Rouge, LA., age 40, pled guilty to Illegal Possession of Stolen Things and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Adam Koenig, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Tess Stromberg.
