SERVING ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION & ST. JAMES PARISHES

During the week of April 4 – April 8, 2016, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

Ascension Parish:

1.    Sarah Zeringue, 5501 HWY 18 St. James, LA., age 51, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

2.    Catherine Riley, 13424 Dole Myers Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 33, pled guilty to Creation or Operation of a Clandestine Lab, Simple Burglary, and Theft valued at more than $750 but less than $5000. The defendant was sentenced to three years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served on each count. These sentences are to run concurrent with one another.

3.    Max Sangemino, 11254 Sheets Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 28, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The defendant was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served on the charge of Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and 6 months on the charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. These sentences are to run concurrent with one another. The imposed sentence is to be suspended, and the defendant is to be placed on 18 months supervised probation.

4. Javante Haynes, 37116 Anderson Rd. Geismar, LA., age 21, pled guilty to Illegal Possession of Stolen Things and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections on each count. These sentences are to run concurrent with one another. The imposed sentence is to be suspended and the defendant is to be placed on 18 months supervised probation.
5. Ronald Cooper, 45352 Jennifer Jane Ln. St. Amant, LA., age 46, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.
6.  Mary Dies, 1125 S. Arceneaux Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 57, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The defendant was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served on the charge of Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and 6 months on the charge of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. These sentences are to run concurrent with one another. The imposed sentence is to be suspended, and the defendant is to be placed on 18 months supervised probation.
7.  Charity Avery, 41502 Glen Williams Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 34, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.
8.    Dylan Leader, 14086 Airline Hwy Gonzales, LA., age 19, pled guilty to Illegal Carrying of Weapons, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoids 1st Offense, Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles, Resisting an Officer, No Proof of Insurance, and Obedience to Police Officers. The defendant was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

 

9.    Shawn Dean, 5535 Andrews St. St. Gabriel, LA., age 25, pled guilty to Possession of a Legend Drug without Prescription or Order, Theft of a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoids 1st Offense. The defendant was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

10.Lawrence Furlow, 15127 Wax Rd. Central, LA., age 48, pled guilty to Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated 4th Offense, two headlights required, Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in Motor Vehicles, Domestic Abuse Battery, Resisting an Officer, and Disturbing the Peace. The defendant was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The defendant must serve 2 years of the imposed sentence, and be placed on 5 years supervised probation. The remaining three years of this sentence is to be suspended.

11.Ryheme Stevenson, 924 Nolan St. Donaldsonville, LA., age 19, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Distribution of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

12.Johnathan Darville, 2126 S Darla Ave. Gonzales, LA., age 24, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoids, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The defendant was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 4 years supervised probation.

13.Warren Thibeau, 38240 Duplessis Rd. Prairieville, LA., age 31, pled guilty to Possession of a Legend Drug without Prescription or Order, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoids. The defendant was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

 

14.Courtney Davis, 411 Houmas St. Donaldsonville, LA., age 27, pled guilty to Possession of a Legend Drug without Prescription or Order, Possession of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoids, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

15.Jeffery Garraway, 23833 Sandlewood Ct. Denham Springs, LA., age 45, pled guilty to Improper Telephone Communications, Distribution of a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Possession or Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution. The defendant was sentenced to 36 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation.

 

16.Blaine Mike, 13422 Chase St. Prairieville, LA., age 28, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

 

17.Jason Sanchez, 214 Opelousas St. Donaldsonville, LA., pled guilty to Illegal Carrying of Weapons, and Creation or Operation of a Clandestine Lab for the Unlawful Manufacture of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

Assumption Parish:

1.    Tate Mouret, 2191 Hwy 1 South Donaldsonville, La., age 25, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

 

2.    Todd Scott, 120 Roseland Rd. Labadieville, LA., age 23, pled guilty to Resisting an Officer, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoids 1st Offense, and Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.

St. James Parish:

 

1.    Anita Granier, 13789 Swimming Pool St. Vacherie, LA., age 55, pled guilty to Theft of a Motor Vehicle and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

2.    Mignonne Keller, 2154 S Albert St. Lutcher, LA., age 56, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.

3.    Jerry Williams, 16429 Hwy 929 Prairieville, LA., age 52, pled guilty to Illegal Possession of Stolen Things and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections on each charge with credit for time served. The imposed sentences are to run concurrent with one another.
