During the week of August 18 – August 22, 2025, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

Ascension Parish: 

  1. Tyce Irvin, 73 E Rome St. Gonzales, LA, age 18, pled guilty to Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Illegal Possession of Stolen Firearms. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  1. Melissa Rodriguez, 1104 Peytavin St. Donaldsonville, LA, age 36, pled guilty to Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Jose Bardeles, 651 Monet Dr. Baton Rouge, LA, age 21, pled guilty to Aggravated 2nd Degree Battery and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Courtney Bennett, 1402 McKinley St. Donaldsonville, LA, age 38, pled guilty to Attempted Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and was sentenced to 2 ½ years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Jamikel Carter, 42372 Palmstone Ave Prairieville, LA, age 20, pled guilty to Simple Burglary and Obstruction of Justice. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Alfredo Gomez Cruz, 17310 Keith Harrow Rd. Houston, TX, age 36, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000 and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation. 
  1. James Kay, 44547 Hwy 42 Prairieville, LA, age 57, pled guilty to Oral Sexual Battery with a Victim Under the Age of 13 and was sentenced to 25 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The said sentence is to be served without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. Upon release from incarceration, the defendant must register and notify as a sex offender or child predator for life. 
  1. Keyra Fernandez Morgado, 17310 Keith Harrow Rd. Houston, TX, age 30, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000 and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation. 
  1. Jonathan Nions, 4057 S Chipwood Harvey, LA, age 34, pled guilty to Aggravated Flight from an Officer and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Javon Singleton, 41103 Chick Duplessis Rd. Gonzales, LA, age 18, pled guilty to Illegal Possession of Stolen Firearms and Simple Burglary. The defendant was sentenced to 6 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Clayton Townley, Denham Springs, LA, age 44, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000 and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation. 
  1. Kalib Walker, pled guilty to Simple Burglary and Theft of a Firearm (20 counts) and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Jade Boudreaux, 8190 Brittany Rd. Sorrento, LA, age 23, pled guilty to Simple Robbery (2 counts) and was sentenced to 7 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation. 
  1. Shane Cooper, Columbus OH, age 31, pled guilty to Computer-Aided Solicitation of a Minor and Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile. The defendant was sentenced to 6 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. Upon release from incarceration, the defendant must register and notify as a sex offender or child predator for a period of 25 years. 
  1. Dylan Forrest, 14192 Bear Island Rd. Maurepas, LA, age 30, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Elvin Rowley, 8134 Misty Oaks Ave Baker, LA, age 33, pled guilty to Battery of a Police Officer Resulting in Medical Attention and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation. 
  1. Tristin Trigg-Williams. 38119 Stanley St. Prairieville, LA, age 24, pled guilty to Attempted Manslaughter and was sentenced to 13 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Hodges Laday, 5530 Ambassador Caffrey Parkway Youngsville, LA, age 31, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000 and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation. 
  1. Jeffrey Gautreau, 5314 Courtyard Dr. Gonzales, LA, age 33, pled guilty to DWI 3rd Offense and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.

  1. Quayshaun Alexander, 2012 S Ranger Ave Gonzales, LA, age 34, pled guilty to Aggravated Flight from an Officer and Illegal Possession of Stolen Things. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation. 
  1. Catherine Binder, 500 Fred Banks Denham Springs, LA, age 37, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000 and Organized Retail Theft. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Jason Brasseaux, 18091 Conthia Dr. Prairieville, LA, age 45, pled guilty to Simple Burglary (11 counts) and was sentenced to 6 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Tyler Camper, 2618 Valley St. Baton Rouge, LA, age 25, pled guilty to 2nd Degree Battery and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Dathrone Chatman, 121 Pink St. West Monroe, LA, age 46, pled guilty to Filing False Public Records and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Robin Christmas, 6506 Coveview Ct. New Orleans, LA, age 36, pled guilty to Bank Fraud (5 counts) and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Slade Comeaux, 12117 Wunstel Rd. Gonzales, LA, age 22, pled guilty to Domestic Abuse Battery – Strangulation and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Holly Crane, 8618 Springfield Rd. Denham Springs, LA, age 34, pled guilty to Simple Burglary and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Judah Frank-Hagen, 1080 Peach Ave. El Cajon, CA, age 32, pled guilty to Conspiracy to Commit Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Conspiracy to Commit Possession of Marijuana/Synthetic Cannabinoids. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Marques Gipson, 36482 Hwy 74 Geismar, LA, age 21, pled guilty to Introducing Contraband Into or Upon the Grounds of any State Correctional Institution (2 counts) and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Levell Green, 9313 Water Tower Lane Convent, LA, age 34, pled guilty to Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Leland Hickman Jr., 2384 Lemanville Cutoff Rd. Donaldsonville, LA, age 20, pled guilty to Introducing Contraband Into or Upon the Grounds of any State Correctional Institution (3 counts) and was sentenced to 12 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Mark Johnson Jr., 306 W 9th Donaldsonville, LA, age 26, pled guilty to Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon (2 counts) and was sentenced to 15 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Chaz Jones, 2138 S Commerce Ave. Gonzales, LA, age 19, pled guilty to 2nd Degree Battery, Illegal Possession of Stolen Firearms, and Illegal Use/Possession/Control of Weapons. The defendant was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Zavion Joshua, 2138 S Commerce Ave. Gonzales, LA, age 19, pled guilty to Illegal Use/Possession/Control of Weapons – Crime of Violence or Controlled Dangerous Substance and Distribution, Manufacture, or Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Taimyreliz Molina, 3532 Mount Martre Dr. Orlando, FL, age 19, pled guilty to Organized Retail Theft and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Tye Wayne Morris, 2024 S Ruth Ave. Gonzales, LA, age 30, pled guilty to Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Toran Munson, 2024 S Ruth Ave. Gonzales, LA, age 30, pled guilty to Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Aggravated Flight from an Officer, Illegal Carrying of Weapons, and Possession or Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution. The defendant was sentenced to 18 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Justin Rainey, 1113 E Dawn St. Gonzales, LA, age 35, pled guilty to Possession or Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Allen Sanders, 109 Oakridge Dr. Donaldsonville, LA, age 21, pled guilty to Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities, Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, and Aggravated Assault with a Firearm. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Gage Schouest, 41477 Smith Hart Rd. Prairieville, LA, age 24, pled guilty to Battery of a Police Officer while in Custody or Being Detained and was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Murphy Wesley, 108 Marshall Lane Napoleonville, LA, age 21, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000 and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Harley Beauford, 13092 Templet Rd. St. Amant, LA, age 21, pled guilty to Principal to Simple Burglary (2 counts) and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 1-year supervised probation. 
  1. Ahmadi Berry, 16814 Stephanie Ave. Baton Rouge, LA, age 23, pled guilty to Aggravated Flight from an Officer and Illegal Possession of Stolen Things Valued at $25,000 or More. Sentencing was deferred to a later date pending a Pre-Sentence Investigation. 
  1. Ronald Bottoms, 42523 Graham Lane Gonzales, LA, age 43, pled guilty to Aggravated Battery and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Steven Bryant, 42245 Moody Dixon Rd. Prairieville, LA, age 46, pled guilty to Monetary Instrument Abuse and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Michael Campbell, 101 River Height Place Baton Rouge, LA, age 31, pled guilty to Nonconsensual Disclosure of a Private Image and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  1. Shiala Joseph, 146 River Pointe LaPlace, LA, age 28, pled guilty to Simple Burglary and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 1-year supervised probation. 
  1. Michael Mills, 13092 Templet Rd. St. Amant, LA, age 23, pled guilty to Simple Burglary (2 counts) and Attempted Simple Burglary. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Brandon Williams, 32775 Adams Dr. White Castle, LA, age 30, pled guilty to Monetary Instrument Abuse and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Richard Wilson, 42140 Shadow Creek Gonzales, LA, age 44, pled guilty to Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
