SERVING ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION & ST. JAMES PARISHES

During the Week of July 18 – July 22, 2016, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, Parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

Ascension Parish:
1. Rodney Carlson Jr., 39080 Little Creek Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 31, pled guilty to Illegal Possession of Stolen Things and Monetary Instrument Abuse. Carlson was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served on each count. The imposed sentences are to run concurrent with one another.

2. Lowell Augillard, 5230 Mercury Dr. Darrow, LA., age 30, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
3. Felding Bridges, 48274 Amite River Rd. St. Amant LA., age 54, pled guilty to Illegal Possession of Stolen things and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

4. William Carnegie Jr., 1410 Governor St. Baton Rouge, LA., age 43, pled guilty to Monetary Instrument Abuse and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

5. Jamie Dixon, 12488 Hebert Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 26, pled guilty to Domestic Abuse Battery and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

6. Renato Givens, 1416 Peytavin St. Donaldsonville, LA., age 30, pled guilty to Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm or Carrying a Concealed Weapon and was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The imposed sentence is to be served without the benefit of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.

7. Cody Dixon, 39327 Catoire Rd. Prairieville, LA., age 23, pled guilty to Stalking and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Joni Buquoi and Sara Clarke. The presiding judge was the Honorable Judge Jessie LeBlanc.

Assumption Parish
1. Brad Cavalier, 237 Hwy 1003 Belle Rose, LA., age 26, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

2. Nicole Daigle, 121 Substation St. Pierre Part, LA., age 32, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

3. Terraces Jackson, 3008 Hwy 308 Napoleonville, LA., age 38, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle and the presiding judge was the Honorable Judge Thomas Kliebert.
