SERVING ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION & ST. JAMES PARISHES

During the week of March 5-March 9, 2018, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James

Ascension Parish: 

  1. Blain Slayton, 38520 Cal Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 25, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  2. Christopher Landrum, 2441 Aubin Lane Baton Rouge, LA., age 31, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  3. Michael Longanecker Sr., 16288 Hwy 431 Prairieville, LA., age 53, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 36 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation.
  4. Victor Vieyra, 41270 Merritt Evans Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 59, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  5. Brandy Mitchell, 1324 S Shirley Ave. Gonzales, LA., age 33, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance, Illegal Use of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in the Presence of Minors, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoids. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  6. Steven Harris, 43244 Norwood Rd. Prairieville, LA., age 31, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.
  7. Beau Babin, 13111 Lamar Moran Rd. St. Amant, LA., age 24, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. It was ordered that the defendant is to serve 1 year of the said sentence, and the remaining 4 years are to be suspended. Upon release, the defendant is to be placed on 4 years supervised probation.
  8. Trevis Richardson, 14244 Mire Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 35, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 4 years supervised probation.
  9. Alvin Rome, 102 River Oaks Dr. Donaldsonville, LA., age 34, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 24 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 24 months supervised probation.
  10. Aaron Carter, 2593 Long Branch Dr. Marrero, LA., age 30, pled guilty to Conspiracy with Intent to Distribute a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession or Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution, Illegal Carrying of Weapons, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts), and Possession of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoids. The defendant was sentenced to 36 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation.
  11. Matthew Lambert, 43244 Norwood Rd. Prairieville, LA., age 32, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The defendant was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.
  12. David Gautreaux, 13070 Carrie Lane Geismar, LA., age 42, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.
  13. Warren Aulds, 20055 Hwy 16 Denham Springs, LA., age 40, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Charles “Chuck” Long and Robin O’Bannon. Presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Tess Stromberg.

 

Assumption Parish:

  1. Joseph Dozier II, 300 Ormond Village Dr. Destrehan, LA., age 22, pled guilty to Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  2. Huey Hue, Pierre Part, LA., age 55, pled guilty to Failure to Register and Notify as a Sex Offender or Child Predator and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Jessie LeBlanc.

 

St. James Parish:

  1. Ivan Scioneaux, 8551 Hwy 18 St. James, LA., age 47, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.
  2. Eddie Walker, 2119 Fifth St. Lutcher, LA., age 36, pled guilty to Attempted Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Bruce Mohon, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Alvin Turner Jr. 

  1. Carlos Ruiz-Santos, 300 Main St. Patterson, LA., age 41, pled guilty to Illegal Possession of Stolen Things and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
  2. Jewann Baptiste, 504 Lincoln St. Houma, LA., age 23, pled guilty to Simple Burglary and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  3. Ty’Ren Jasmin, 2045 LA 18, Vacherie, LA., age 19, pled guilty to 2nd Degree Battery. Sentencing was deferred pending a Pre-Sentence Investigation.
  4. Bria Kirklin, 3562 Hwy 44 Paulina, LA., age 22, pled guilty to Simple Burglary (2 counts) and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
  5. Shane Louque, 756 N Airline Ave. Gramercy, LA., age 31, pled guilty to Failure to Register and Notify as a Sex Offender or Child Predator and was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The said sentence is to be served without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
  6. Keely Naquin, 23770 Hwy 19 Slaughter, LA., age 28, pled guilty to Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling and Forgery. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
  7. Darriaus Striggs, 2388 N Albert St. Lutcher, LA., age 40, pled guilty to Theft Valued at Less than $1,000 3rd Offense and was sentenced to 12 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 12 months supervised probation.
  8. Elizabeth Fuentes, 1239 N Ezidore St. Gramercy, LA., age 33, pled guilty to Aggravated Burglary and Theft of a Motor Vehicle. Sentencing was deferred pending a Pre-Sentence Investigation.
  9. Tyrean Harry, 7453 Kingview St. St. James, LA., age 21, pled guilty to Simple Burglary and Aggravated Assault with a Firearm. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
