SERVING ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION & ST. JAMES PARISHES

During the week of May 6 – May 10, 2024, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James

Ascension Parish: 

  1. Anshjay Bourgeois, 13177 Melissa Heights Gonzales, LA, age 30, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling. The defendant was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Gage Dodd, 419 South Sammy St. Gonzales, LA, age 20, pled guilty to Possession of Fentanyl and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Renaldo Green, 1219 S Sybill Ave Gonzales, LA, age 42, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Fentanyl. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. William Halker, 14153 Mire Rd. Gonzales, LA, age 52, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts), and Possession of Fentanyl. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Kentrell Riley, 134 Evangeline Dr. Donaldsonville, LA, age 20, pled guilty to Obstruction of Justice and Illegal Carrying of a Weapon. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Raymond Beckman, 10253 T Boy Rd. St. Amant, LA, age 38, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. LaJordan Colar, 1727 South Park Ave. Gonzales, LA, age 41, pled guilty to Access Device Fraud $1,000 – $5,000 (2 counts), Bank Fraud (2 counts), Forgery (5 counts), Theft $1,000 – $5,000 (2 counts), Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Roderick Felton, 2138 South Commerce Ave. Gonzales, LA, age 24, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 12 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 24 months supervised probation. 
  1. Leland Hickman, 14383 L Keller Rd. St. Amant, LA, age 19, pled guilty to Theft of a Motor Vehicle (2 counts) and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The defendant is to serve 2 years of the said sentence, and the remaining 3 years are to be suspended. Upon release from incarceration, the defendant is to be placed on 3 years supervised probation. In a separate matter, the defendant pled guilty to Illegal Possession of Stolen Things (2 counts) and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The said sentences are to run concurrent with one another. 
  1. Johnnie Lee Isabelle, 10110 Maripose Green Ct. Houston, TX, age 29, pled guilty to Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 7 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Justin Lomas, 324 Federal Dr. Westwego, LA, age 43, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 24 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 24 months supervised probation. 
  1. Jadyn Taylor, 17197 Chenier Dr. Prairieville, LA, age 23, pled guilty to Conspiracy to Commit Introduction of Contraband Into or Upon the Grounds of any State Correctional Institution and was sentenced to 24 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation. 
  1. Jasmon Williams, 321 Tigerville Lane Belle Rose, LA, age 36, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Simple Battery. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Charles “Chuck” Long, Robin O’Bannon, and Kristin Tregre. Presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge James Kuhn. 

Assumption Parish: 

  1. Latisha Landry, 44444 Melancon St. Sorrento, LA, age 40, pled guilty to Aggravated Assault and Attempted Monetary Instrument Abuse. The defendant was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 

The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Lana Chaney, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Steven Tureau.  

St. James Parish: 

  1. Howard Kraemer, 2082 Hwy 307 Thibodaux, LA, age 45, pled guilty to DWI 3rd Sentencing was deferred to a later date pending a Pre-Sentence Investigation. 
  1. Tori Morris, 4944 South Sherwood Forest Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA, age 25, pled guilty to Forgery and Principal to Computer Fraud. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Tyran Bause, 2119 Fifth St. Lutcher, LA, age 27, pled guilty to Attempted Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Emily Taylor, 216 Warwick St. Laplace, LA, age 29, pled guilty to Distribution of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession or Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution. The defendant was sentenced to 18 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Adam Koenig, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Cody Martin. 

  1. Immanuel Davis, 10524 W Pine Wood Rose Circle St. James, LA, age 22, pled guilty to Felony Contributing to the Delinquency of Juveniles and was sentenced to 7 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. On October 5, 2023, Patrick Sheppard of 5407 Barras St. St. James, LA, age 62, pled guilty to DWI 4th Sentencing was deferred to a later date pending a Pre-Sentence Investigation. On May 6, 2024, Sheppard was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
