Ascension Parish:
- Jeremy Melancon, 7366 Main St. Sorrento, LA, age 51, pled guilty to Simple Criminal Damage to Property Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000 and was sentenced to 13 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
- Lorenzo Mackie, 8169 Leggets St. Sorrento, LA, age 51, pled guilty to Attempted Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and was sentenced to 7 ½ years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.
- Abby Pitman, 917 North Anita Ave. Gonzales, LA, age 23, pled guilty to Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling and was sentenced to 3 years supervised probation.
- Logan Ansley, 20721 Bums Lane Springfield, LA, age 21, pled guilty to Cruelty to Juveniles and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.
- Travis Brack, 32322 Hwy 642 N Paulina, LA, age 49, pled guilty to Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000 (2 counts) and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.
The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Philip Prescott, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Jason Verdigets.
- Douglas Caldwell, 18230 Lil Prairie Rd. Prairieville, LA, age 46, pled guilty to Mail Theft and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. It was ordered that 2 years of the said sentence are to be served, and the remaining 3 years are to be suspended. Upon release from incarceration, the defendant is to be placed on 3 years supervised probation.
- Tyler Everett, 3818 Hwy 44 Paulina, LA, age 27, pled guilty to Domestic Abuse Battery of a Pregnant Person and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.
- Jason Henry, 37372 Southwood Village Ave. Prairieville, LA, age 44, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Theft Valued at Less than $1,000, and Theft Valued at $1,000 or More, but Less than $5,000. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
- Kirk Gibson, 1407 McKinley Aly Donaldsonville, LA, age 33, pled guilty to Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling and was sentenced to 6 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. In a different matter, Gibson pled guilty to Crimes Against Nature and was sentenced to 15 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. This sentence is to be served without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. Upon release from incarceration, the defendant must register and notify as a sex offender for life. The said sentences are to run concurrent with one another.
- Brent Chamblis, 2138 S Commerce St. Gonzales, LA, age 56, pled guilty to Carjacking and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. The defendant was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

Assumption Parish:
- Autumn Picou, 264 Smoky Ct. Bourg, LA, age 40, pled guilty to Distribution, Manufacture, or Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. Sentencing was deferred to a later date pending a Pre-Sentence Investigation.
- Cameron Johnson, 21892 Samuels Rd. Zachary, LA, age 28, pled guilty to Attempted Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.
The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Lana Chaney, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge John Smith.
