SERVING ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION & ST. JAMES PARISHES

During the week of September 3-September 8, 2018, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

Ascension Parish:

  1. Michael Rabalais, 12043 Roddy Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 54, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle, Driving Under Suspension, Expired MVI, and Expired Vehicle License. The defendant was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 6 months supervised probation.
  2. Jeanne Morgan, 412 E Josephine St. Gonzales, LA., age 27, pled guilty to Possession of a Legend Drug without Prescription or Order and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 24 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 24 months supervised probation.
  3. Sabrina Lamendola, 18792 Hwy 22 Maurepas, LA., age 40, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 36 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  4. Landon Netterville, St. Amant, LA., age 22, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 24 months supervised probation.
  5. Sedrick Thompson, 14227 Mire Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 40, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts), and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts). The defendant was sentenced to 12 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  6. Jennifer Burnette, 9079 Shirley Dyer Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 33, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  7. Anna Wells, 37113 White Rd. Prairieville, LA., age 36, pled guilty to Theft, Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
  8. Eugene Helg, 41075 Chick Duplessis Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 40, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts) and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  9. Ernie Gautreau Jr., 13246 Spellman Lambert Rd. St. Amant, LA., age 39, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and Simple Battery. The defendant was sentenced to 12 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  10. Eric Courtney, 41356 Cemetery Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 47, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  11. Shane Howard, 810 Catalpa St. Donaldsonville, LA., age 37, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession or Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution, Resisting an Officer, and Simple Criminal Trespass. The defendant was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  12. Litzan Reyes Fulgueredo, 636 Gloria Dr. Baton Rouge, LA., age 27, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, Aggravated Flight from an Officer, Illegal Possession of Stolen Things, Obstruction of Justice, Misuse of Temporary Registration Plates, No Tail Lights, Reckless Operation, Running Red Light, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoids, False Certificates and No Insurance. The defendant was sentenced to 8 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  13. Jeremy Scherer, 18014 Autumn View Dr. Prairieville, LA., age 33, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance, (2 counts), Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The defendant was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  14. Paul Woods, 4400 Norman Lane Fordoche, LA., age 41, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts), Possession or Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The defendant was sentenced to 15 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  15. Clinton Landry, 39317 W Worthey Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 40, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.
  16. William Curcio, 13529 Petit Amite Rd. Maurepas, LA., age 46, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

 Assumption Parish:

  1. Freddie Lewis Jr., 10186 Tripett St. St. James, LA., age 39, pled guilty to Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Jessie LeBlanc.

St. James Parish:

  1. Garrett Jackson, Bassfield MS., age 29, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and DWI 1st Offense. The defendant was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.
  2. Quenton Joseph, 2213 Project Dr. Vacherie, LA., age 34, pled guilty to Simple Burglary of an Inhabited Dwelling and was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
  3. Jerry Swift, Chouteau, OK., age 47, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.
