On March 9, 2020, Tyler Moore of 12390 Deck Blvd. Geismar, LA., age 27, pled guilty to Simple Burglary (2 counts). Moore was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Phil Maples, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Thomas Kliebert.           On July 24, 2019, deputies with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a local storage facility regarding burglaries of multiple storage units which had taken place between June 30th and July 23rd. Detectives responded, canvassed the scene, and viewed surveillance video footage around the location.

On July 26, 2019, deputies responded to the same storage facility in reference to a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, deputies detained two subjects who were identified as Ryan Zimmerle and Tyler Moore. Detectives arrived on scene and obtained confessions from both individuals. Both Zimmerle and Moore were arrested and booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.

Upon entering a guilty plea to the above-mentioned charges, pursuant to the plea agreement with prosecutors, Moore was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

Ryan Zimmerle previously pled guilty in connection with this case and is awaiting sentencing.
