Pierre Part Man Pleads Guilty after Failing to Register and Notify as a Sex Offender or Child Predator

          On March 5, 2018, Huey Hue of Pierre Part, LA., age 55, pled guilty to the charge of Failure to Register and Notify as a Sex Offender or Child Predator. Hue was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Jessie LeBlanc. This guilty plea was the result of a plea agreement with prosecutors following a 2017 arrest.  

          On July 6, 2017, Hue was arrested for the above-mentioned charge after failing to meet the requirements of registering as a sex offender. Hue was convicted in 2001 of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile. Hue received a 5-year sentence, and upon release from incarceration, Hue was placed on 5 years supervised probation. As part of his probation, Hue was ordered to register and notify as a sex offender or child predator.  

          Upon entering a guilty plea to the above-mentioned charge, as per the plea agreement with prosecutors, Hue was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.
