Ascension Parish:
- Kelly Downey Jr., 43701 Hodgeson Rd. Prairieville, LA, age 22, pled guilty to Illegal Carrying of Weapons while in Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
- Bo Dozert, 18635 Blythe Rd. Prairieville, LA, age 34, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 24 months supervised probation.
- David Cooper, 39267 LA 929 Prairieville, LA, age 60, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts) and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
- Mihael O’Brien, 23069 Hwy 22 Maurepas, LA, age 59, pled guilty to Possession of Heroin and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.
- Jordan Deerman, 23442 Hwy 442 Independence, LA, age 26, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts) and was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
- Chad McGalliard, 1615 Darla Ave. Gonzales, LA, age 38, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (3 counts), Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts), Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Possession or Introduction of Contraband into a Penal Institution. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation.
The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Charles “Chuck” Long, Robin O’Bannon, and Kristin Tregre. Presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Thomas Kliebert.
Assumption Parish:
- Corey Johnson, 714 Conti St. Laurel, MS, age 43, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.
The above case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Steven Tureau.
St. James Parish:
- Craig Roussel, 135 N Airline Ave. Gramercy, LA, age 46, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (3 counts) and was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. It was ordered that 3 years of the said sentence are to be served, and the remaining 7 years are to be suspended. Upon release from incarceration, the defendant is to be placed on 3 years supervised probation.
- JaJuan Wiggins, 1237 N Airline Ave. Gramercy, LA, age 32, pled guilty to Unlawful Disruption of a Health Care Facility and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.
