SERVING ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION & ST. JAMES PARISHES

During the week of November 7-November 11, 2016, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

Ascension Parish:

  1. Sierra Arceneaux, 16183 E Ridgewood Dr. Prairieville, LA., age 19, pled guilty to Sale, Distribution, or Possession of a Legend Drug without Prescription or order and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation. 
  2. John Cain, 19758 Vicknair Rd. Maurepas, LA., age 32, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation. 
  3. Dwayne Junior, 502 Front St. Donaldsonville, LA., age 46, pled guilty to Distribution of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The imposed sentence is to be served without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. 
  4. Allen Carlton, 16183 Ridgewood Dr. Prairieville, LA., age 19, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  5. Shannon Aydell, 14514 Oak Meadow Dr. Prairieville, LA., age 43, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 36 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation. 
  6. Michael Courtney, 41143 LA 42 Prairieville, LA., age 41, pled guilty to Creation or Operation of a Clandestine Laboratory for the Unlawful Manufacture of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Cruelty to Juveniles. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  7. Michael Farr, 42355 Churchpoint Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 52, pled guilty to Possession of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoids 2nd Offense, Monetary Instrument Abuse, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Driving under Suspension. The defendant was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.  
  8. Heather Guidry, 105 Claiborne St. Donaldsonville, LA., age 32, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts), Possession of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoids, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. It was ordered that the defendant must serve 2 years of the imposed sentence, and the remaining 3 years are to be suspended. Upon release, the defendant is to be placed on 3 years supervised probation.  
  9. Dustin Morris, age 33, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  10. Rayne Felton, 929 Ashley Ave. Gonzales, LA., age 46, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 12 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.  
  11. Vanessa Via, 8407 Pertuis Rd. St. Amant, LA., age 28, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule IV Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.  
  12. Natalie Lassere, 216 St. Patrick St. Donaldsonville, LA., age 54, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 6 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

 

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorneys Charles “Chuck” Long and Lindsey Manda. Presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Tess Stromberg.

Assumption Parish:

  1. Losvin Amaya Aguilar, 231 Belle Terre Rd. Donaldsonville, LA., age 47, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.
  2. Arianne McBride, 7401 Callahan Rd. Denham Springs, LA., age 23, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule III Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

St. James Parish:

  1. Shardi Hulbert, 2214 Project Dr. Vacherie, LA., age 30, pled guilty to Simple Assault on a School Teacher and was sentenced to 12 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 12 months supervised probation. 
  2. Jarrian Nelson, 2314 Louisiana Ave Lutcher, LA., age 26, pled guilty to Theft over $750 but less than $5000 and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.
