SERVING ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION & ST. JAMES PARISHES

During the week of October 31-November 4, 2016, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

Ascension Parish:

1. Lyndon Lively, age 35, pled guilty to Unauthorized Entry of an Inhabited Dwelling and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

2. Taylor Latil, 37490 Southwood Village Ave. Prairieville, LA., age 21, pled guilty to Simple Burglary and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

3. Jamie Baker, 1206 Peytavin St. Donaldsonville, LA., age 31, pled guilty to Simple Criminal Damage to Property Over $500 and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation.

4. David Guist, 720 Bayou Narcisse Rd. Gonzales, LA., age 59, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 36 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 36 months supervised probation.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Kenneth Dupaty, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Alvin Turner Jr.

 

Assumption Parish:

Assumption Parish had no court news to report this week.
St. James Parish:

1. Paul Bolding, 6200 Babin-Wilson St. Convent, LA., age 54, pled guilty to Illegal Use of Weapons or Dangerous Instrumentalities and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 1 years supervised probation.

2. Anthony Lennix, 230 Historic Main St. Garyville, LA., age 30, pled guilty to Attempted Possession of a Firearm or Carrying of a Concealed Weapon by a Convicted Felon and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served.

3. Michael Watson, 40247 La Rochelle Rd. Prairieville, LA., age 33, pled guilty to Unauthorized Use of an Access Card and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation.
