SERVING ASCENSION, ASSUMPTION & ST. JAMES PARISHES

During the week of September 25 – September 29, 2023, the following defendants pled guilty to various charges and were sentenced in the 23rd Judicial District Court, parishes of Ascension, Assumption, and St. James.

Ascension Parish: 

  1. Kyler Scioneaux, 54198 Hwy 995 White Castle, LA, age 27, pled guilty to Domestic Abuse by Strangulation and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Jairo Ochoa, 15338 Roy Rogers Rd. Prairieville, LA, age 27, pled guilty to Obscenity and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Phil Maples, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Cody Martin. 

Assumption Parish: 

  1. Kathleen Lodrigue, 147 Redwood St. Labadieville, LA, age 38, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  1. Vincent Marks, 22105 Hwy 1 Plaquemine, LA, age 30, pled guilty to False Personation of a Police Officer and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.                                                                                              
  2. Bridget Stiles, 6695 Hwy 1 Belle Rose, LA, age 43, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts) and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  1. Christopher McCarty, 16434 Desert Star Conroe, TX, age 43, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  1. Josh Henry, Napoleonville, LA, age 42, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Randy Hebert, 132 Paul St. Pierre Part, LA, age 52, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Joshua Becnel, 13449 Ash St. Vacherie, LA, age 41, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Kristen Duplechien, 2996 Hwy 1 Labadieville, LA, age 37, pled guilty to Obstruction of Justice and Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation. 
  1. Clifford Johnson III, 33470 Bowie St. White Castle, LA, age 26, pled guilty to Obstruction of Justice and was sentenced to 1 year with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Demetric Nelson Jr., 111 Violet St. Thibodaux, LA, age 26, pled guilty to Felony Theft and was sentenced to 4 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Lana Chaney, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Melvin Zeno.

  1. Summer Gaudet, 2211 Lake Palourde Rd. Morgan City, LA, age 29, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 18 months supervised probation. 
  1. Joshua Watkins, 1210 A Wander Rd. Thibodaux, LA, age 37, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 18 months with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Thomas Daigle, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Jason Verdigets. 

St. James Parish: 

  1. Timothy Bassinger, 216 1st Springhill, LA, age 19, pled guilty to Illegal Possession of Stolen Things and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Brienna Lewis, 2152 Abndance St. New Orleans, LA, age 20, pled guilty to Illegal Possession of Stolen Things and was sentenced to 3 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 3 years supervised probation. 
  1. Brandon Hubbard, 2915 Mulberry St. Gramercy, LA, age 42, pled guilty to Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession with Intent to Distribute a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation. 
  1. Patrick Millet, 2605 Admirals Landing Paulina, LA, age 58, pled guilty to Distribution of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and Distribution of a Schedule I Controlled Dangerous Substance. The defendant was sentenced to 10 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 5 years supervised probation. 
  1. Ednisha Temple, 1230 Genois St. New Orleans, LA, age 29, pled guilty to Attempted Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Frank Boe, 2191 S Albert St. Lutcher, LA, age 37, pled guilty to Identity Theft and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  1. Kim Lecarbo, 1313 N Airline Hwy Gonzales, LA, age 57, pled guilty to 1st Degree Negligent Injuring and DWI 1st The defendant was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  1. Charles Hidalgo, 221 Spur St. Gramercy, LA, age 32, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation.

The above cases were prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Bruce Mohon, and presiding over these matters was the Honorable Judge Jason Verdigets. 

  1. Chris LeBlanc, 10268 Legion St. Convent, LA, age 49, pled guilty to Unlawful Use or Access of Social Media and was sentenced to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. 
  1. Angel Bush, 1429 Bunting Ave Grand Junction, LA, age 30, pled guilty to Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Dangerous Substance and was sentenced to 2 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served, to be suspended, and placed on 2 years supervised probation. 
  1. Lance Woodland, 276 Apartment Court Dr. Baton Rouge, LA, age 37, pled guilty to Third Degree Rape (2 counts) and was sentenced to 11 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections with credit for time served. The said sentence is to be served without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence. Upon release from incarceration, the defendant must register and notify as a sex offender for life.
