Former Sorrento Police Officer Sentenced for Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile

          On August 18, 2015, Owen Ockman Jr. of Gonzales, a former employee of the Sorrento Police Department was found guilty by an Ascension Parish Jury on one count of Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile. Ockman was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Joni Buquoi, and presiding over this matter was the Honorable Judge Jessie LeBlanc.

 

Ockman was found guilty of inappropriately touching a juvenile female between May 1, 2009 and August 31, 2011 in the parish of Ascension.

 

On March 21, 2016 Owen Ockman Jr. age 36, was sentenced by Judge LeBlanc to 5 years with the Louisiana Department of Corrections. Ockman was remanded to the custody of the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office.
